Focus of Thought:
How often do we see God work in our lives? I see God in my past and future and sometimes lose sight of where He is now. Like, right now! Stop and count the blessings that are before you in this very moment. Then, remove all the material objects, your family or friends, the opportunities that are available to you, remove everything except nature. All the things that man could not make up. What does it say to you?
Expression of Thought:
Nature speaks all the time. In Psalm 19 it reads “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows and proclaims His handiwork. Day after day pours forth speech, and night shows forth knowledge. There is no speech nor spoken word [from the stars]; their voice is not heard. Yet their voice [in evidence] goes through all the earth, their sayings to the end of the world[AMPC].” The reason why many of us do not hear nature is because it speaks in silence.
If you can, look out your window, take a walk-be where there is just you and nature. Talk with silence as nature does. When your done, what did it say-how did God reveal his glory to you? Most of the time, when you see and ponder everything-from the smallest bug,you can see how everything is in order. How God’s hand keep everything in line, just like His law. In Psalm 19:7 it says “The law of the Lord is perfect restoring the [whole person]; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple [AMPC].”
In nature you are reminded of God’s order, his law, and the beauty of it. You also receive restoration as a gift and become amazed as nature so complex seems simple. That is why it is important to keep God’s law, his commandments, his virtue and everything of him. You want and need rest, you want to see your life that seems so complex, become simple and be under God’s orchestration. “Consider the lilies of the field and learn thoroughly how they grow, they neither toil nor spin [AMPC]” Matthew 6:28. When our lives become like nature and they rest upon the laws of God, everything goes smoothly.
What happens when nature cries out? The earth quakes, water passes far beyond the shore, fire from dryness begins to consume- what does it mean? “For [even the whole] creation (all nature waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship] [AMPC] Romans 8:19. What happens when your life seems to cry out of control. It’s waiting for righteousness, it's waiting to come under subjection of God’s law, his way of order-not yours.
Do not be afraid ,God is with you, right now, and could be speaking to you in silence-like nature. What is nature saying to you now?
