Abundance: Creative Fruit Pt. 4

You have been chosen. You have been planted. You are designed to bear lasting creative fruit.

“You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as [a]presenting all that I Am], He may give it to you.”  John 15:16 AMPC

In previous blogs we have discussed God’s Word and the power it gives us to create. This power is provided through the love and refuge we are given during the creative process. In the middle of it all, faith is needed to successfully create.

Faith is for everyone. By comparing our faith with others, we look at the Word of God as a limited resource. If it is by God’s Word that the earth was created, and everyone enjoys the fruit of it, it is ludicrous to believe that God’s Word has limitations on His children's lives.

Productivity requires faith. In order to believe this, you must have an abundant mindset. Jesus said “whatever you ask the Father in My name, He may give it to you.” To translate, it is out of the abundance of God that He gives to us. Through Jesus, there is more than enough to supply every work that you need to accomplish.

In recent memory, what have you needed during your creative process?

In the abundance of who God is, what are you asking of Him?

These two questions help us understand  the type of trust we have in the power of God’s Word. And if we intentionally reflect on these questions, we will understand the limits we put on our creative power.

I desire for creatives to know that creativity does not stem from a limited resource. Our God is infinite and his Word helps us create more than what we can do on our own.

Our world needs healing. All of us have gifts on the inside of us that are waiting to be utilized as a balm. We have to stop  guarding our talent and release what is on the inside of us. There is no end to what God can provide. Not every project is your life’s work. We must be fruitful and the more we allow God to produce in abundance through us, the more we will see the change we want in our world.

We can no longer be boxed in by the boundaries that we have set before us. We are children of God and through Him we can create the amazing. No dream is too wild. We know that God is the gardener of our craft, and He will provide everything that we will need to produce creative fruit.
